    This study used HCUPnet to access statistics on the 2001–2014 State Inpatient Databases (SID) for Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, South Carolina, Utah, and Washington to determine whether the adoption of State-level opioid-prescribing guidelines are associated with trends in rates of opioid overdose hospitalizations, for prescription opioids, heroin, and all opioids.
