The FY2013 Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grants Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) was issued on March 25, 2013 and announced approximately $4 million of the FY13 Choice Neighborhoods funding for Planning Grants. Applications were due May 28, 2013. In November 2013, HUD awarded Planning Grants to 9 communities totaling $4,374,000.

Implementation Grants NOFA
The FY2013 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) was issued on May 30, 2013 and announced approximately $109 million available for awards. Eligible applicants are public housing authorities (PHAs), local governments, nonprofits, tribal entities and for-profit developers that apply jointly with a public entity. Applications must present a plan to revitalize a severely distressed public and/or HUD-assisted multifamily housing project located in a distressed neighborhood into a viable, mixed-income community. Applications were due September 10, 2013.
