Sean A. Sirker is a Senior Foreign Service member of the U.S. Department of State and a special agent of the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) who currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Director for Training and the Director of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC).

Sean most recently served as the Senior Deputy Regional Security Officer in Kabul, Afghanistan – the Department’s largest overseas operation - and has extensive experience in Near East Asia and South-Central Asia having previously served in Iraq, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Sean has also served as a Regional Security Officer in Central America.

Previously, Sean served as the Director for Counterterrorism and Threats to U.S. Interests Abroad in the National Security Council, Executive Office of the President. He is a graduate of the National Intelligence University where he earned a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the university’s Terrorism Department.

Sean is a military veteran of the first Gulf War and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps (R), the United States Army (R), and the Army National Guard.
