Kimberly “Kim” Stevenson is corporate vice president of Intel Corporation and chief operating officer for the Client and Internet of Things Businesses and Systems Architecture (CISA) Group. The CISA organization is responsible for aligning technology, engineering, product design and business direction to extend Intel’s strategy and speed execution across the client device and IoT segments – all core to growth in the smart and connected computing era. Stevenson is responsible for CISA’s operational excellence, strategic planning process and related cross-company coordination. She also serves on Intel’s management committee.

Stevenson served as Intel’s chief information officer (CIO) from 2012 until August 2016. Under her leadership, Intel’s IT organization earned a reputation for excellence and innovation in support of Intel’s business priorities. This includes the development of a sales analytics platform, which has produced $1 billion from incremental revenue and productivity gains, and the design, build and management of two state-of-the-art IT data centers in Santa Clara, California, which provide the computational force behind Intel’s global chip design efforts.

Stevenson currently leads the Intel Network of Executive Women (INEW) as the Subcommittee Chair for External Thought Leadership and Outreach to channel her passion for engaging girls and women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and speaks on the topic both internally and externally. She was recognized by STEMconnector® as 100 Diverse Corporate Leader and 100 CIO/CTO Leader who is actively contributing to incorporate more diverse STEM professionals and changing the pipeline based on strong STEM education. Stevenson was named the 2015 Women of Excellence Digital Trailblazer by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE).

Previously, Stevenson held the position of vice president and general manager of Intel’s Global IT Operations and Services, where she led both the strategic and tactical support of Intel’s worldwide infrastructure components, including data centers, network and telecommunications, enterprise application support, client computing and a 24×7 internal service desk.

Prior to joining Intel, Stevenson spent seven years at the former EDS, now HP enterprise services, holding a variety of positions including vice president of Worldwide Communications, Media and Entertainment (CM&E) Industry Practice, as well as the vice president of Enterprise Service Management, where she oversaw the global development and delivery of enterprise services. Before joining EDS, Stevenson spent 18 years at IBM in several executive positions including vice president of Marketing and Operations of the eServer iSeries division.

In 2014, Stevenson won numerous awards including Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Best CIO, an Evanta Top 10 Breakaway Leader, and Huffington Post’s Most Social CIO as well as the CIO 100 award by CIO.com for four years in a row.

Stevenson earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University. She serves on the board of directors of Cloudera and Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc.

Daniel Castro is the Vice President of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation and Director of the Center for Data Innovation. Mr. Castro writes and speaks on a variety of issues related to information technology and internet policy, including privacy, security, intellectual property, internet governance, e-government, and accessibility for people with disabilities. His work has been quoted and cited in numerous media outlets, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, USA Today, Bloomberg News, and Businessweek. In 2013, Mr. Castro was named to FedScoop's list of "Top 25 most influential people under 40 in government and tech."

Brian Schimpf is Palantir's Global Director of Engineering. He leads Palantir's Forward Deployed Engineering team and serves as Palantir's Chief Architect. Mr. Schimpf is also responsible for the direction and implementation of Palantir Gotham, Palantir's most widely used data integration and analytics platform. Mr. Schimpf has led the development of the critical components of Palantir's software that address today's most difficult topics, such as data privacy, security and cloud hosting. Mr. Schimpf attended Cornell University and earned a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. While at Cornell he was involved in autonomous vehicle research as part of Cornell's DARPA Urban and Grand Challenge initiatives.

Steve Adler is a leader in Information strategy and technology development at IBM for almost 20 years. He is an expert in data science and an innovator who has developed several billion dollar revenue businesses on the areas of Data Governance, Enterprise Privacy Architectures, and Internet Insurance, He is an internationally recognized thought leader in Open Data, Data Governance, Systemic Risk, Security and Privacy, and Internet Insurance. He has advised governments, large NGO's on open government data, data standards, privacy, regulation, and systemic risk.

Allen Blue is one of the co-founders of LinkedIn and Vice President of Product Management. Currently, he manages the Content and Communities division, covering LinkedIn's Groups, News, Influencer, Stream and Communication products. Before joining LinkedIn, Blue designed exploratory products and marketing programs at PayPal and was an early employee and Director of Product Design at SocialNet.com, a first-generation social site supporting dating, recreational and professional activities. Before entering technology, Blue lectured on Theatrical Design at Stanford University.

Prior to joining San Francisco as their first Chief Data Office, Joy spent seven years designing data systems for public consumption at the Greater New Orleans Community Data. Prior to joining the City, Joy worked at Berkeley National Laboratory to develop technology, cyber and privacy policy with the National Lab CIO Council and the Department of Energy Information Management Advisory Group. Joy earned her Masters from UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy, where she focused on IT policy.

Katy Börner is the Victor H. Yngve Professor of Information Science at the School of Library and Information Science, Her research focuses on the development of data analysis and visualization techniques for information access, understanding, and management. She is particularly interested in the study of the structure and evolution of scientific disciplines; the analysis and visualization of online activity; and the development of cyber infrastructures for large scale scientific collaboration and computation.

Danah Boyd is the founder and president of Data & Society, a NYC-based research institute. She is also a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research, a Visiting Researcher at New York University, and a research affiliate at Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet and Society. Her research examines the intersection of technology and society. Currently, she's focused on research questions related to "big data" and privacy.

Jack Dangermond is the founder and president of Esri, the world's sixth largest privately held software company. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Redlands, California, Esri is widely recognized as the technical and market leader in geographic information systems, or GIS, pioneering innovative solutions for working with spatial data. Dangermond is recognized not only as a pioneer in spatial analysis methods but also as one of the most influential people in GIS. He actively manages Esri and is closely connected to projects, clients, and company vision. He takes a leadership role in national and global initiatives to facilitate standards for data access and sharing across agencies and organizations. He is personally committed to applying GIS methods for environmental stewardship and sustainable communities. Dangermond is the recipient of numerous fellowships, honorary degrees, and awards.

Chris DiBona is the director of open source at Google. His team oversees license compliance and supports the open source developer community through programs such as the Google Summer of Code and through the release of open source software projects and patches on Google Code. In his former work on Google's public sector software, he looked after Google Moderator and the polling locations API and election results. DiBona has a B.S. in computer science from George Mason University and a M.S. in software engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He also co-edited Open Sources: Voices from the Open Source Revolution and Open Sources 2.0.

William B. Gail is co-founder and CTO of Global Weather Corporation, a private-label provider of precision weather forecast information to the energy, transportation, and media sectors. He is also 2014 President and Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), and recently published a book "Climate Conundrums: What the Climate Debate Reveals About Us".

Stan is the Chief Economist of Zillow. Stan joined the company as one of its earliest employees in 2005 and created the Zestimate® and its first algorithm. Since that time, Stan has built out the industry-leading economics and analytics team at Zillow. A recognized leader in the real estate industry, Stan is a member of Fannie Mae's Affordable Housing Advisory Council. Prior to joining Zillow, Stan spent five years at Expedia where he ran the advanced analytics team. Before Expedia, Stan served as a researcher and faculty member at the University of Virginia, and was previously a presidential management fellow at NASA, the Office of Science and Technology Policy in the Executive Office of the President, and the technology administration within the Department of Commerce. Stan also served in the U.S. Peace Corps, where he taught high school physics and chemistry in the West African country of Benin. Stan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College, a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a doctorate in government from the University of Virginia.

Heather Joseph serves as the Executive Director of the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), an international coalition of academic and research libraries working to expand the global, cost-effective digital communication of research results. Ms. Joseph leads the strategic and operational activities of the organization, and has focused SPARC's efforts on supporting emerging communications models for digital articles, data and educational resources. Under her stewardship, SPARC has become widely recognized as the leading international force for effective open access policy advocacy.

Dr Vadim Kutsyy is Distinguished Architect, Data Science at PayPal. Prior to that Vadim led Data Strategy and Stewardship at PayPal. Prior to the Paypal/Ebay split Vadim served as Head of Inc Data Labs for Ebay Inc. Vadim was responsible for creating predictive models based on eBay Inc. data to create new disruptive innovations for eBay merchants. These models include but are not limited to industry insights, customer analytics and real-time personalization. Prior to joining Inc Data Labs, Vadim was a Principal Scientist at eBay Inc. group that created a real time event driven analytical solution based on the network relationship of the users across eBay Inc. This system is currently hosting networks with billions of nodes and computes tens of millions of scores per day and is used across eBay Inc. Prior to joining eBay Inc., Vadim created and implemented a self-learning Bayesian Network based model for real-time fraud prevention at Guardian Analytics. Prior to that, Vadim held a variety of roles at Cytokinetis, General Motors, Bell Labs and SPSS among others. Vadim has a PhD in Statistics and MS in Engineering from the University of Michigan Arbor, an MS in Statistics from the University of Chicago and a BS in Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics from University of Wisconsin Madison.

At heart, Kevin Merritt is an entrepreneur with a passion for serving customers through great software. He founded Socrata in 2007 to establish a cloud-based, socially-connected digital platform that would help organizations improve the availability, use, and sharing of their data. The goal was to enhance access to the massive amounts of public data in the world, which would help organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions and lead to services that would better people's everyday lives.

CJ Moses is the GM of World Wide Government Cloud Solutions for Amazon Web Services (AWS). His duties at AWS include leading secure product design, management, and development efforts focused on bringing the competitive, economic and security benefits of cloud computing to government customers. Prior to joining AWS, Mr. Moses had an extensive career within the Federal Government, most recently with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he served as an Assistant Section Chief. His responsibilities at the FBI's Cyber Division included leadership of the technical analysis of computer and network intrusion activities as well oversight of malicious code analysis and computer exploitation tool reverse-engineering. Mr. Moses has undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Criminal Justice, and is a Sports Car Club of America, Multi-time Divisional Racing Champion.

Jennifer Pahlka is the founder and executive director of Code for America. Code for America is a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that, according to the Washington Post, "is the technology world's equivalent of the Peace Corps or Teach for America… [offering] an alternative to the old, broken path of government IT." She recently served as the US Deputy Chief Technology Officer in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She is known for her TED talk, Coding a Better Government, and is the recipient of several awards, including the Oxford Internet Institute's Internet and Society Award, MIT's Kevin Lynch Award, and National Democratic Institute's Democracy Award.

Colin was recently appointed vice president of software research, GE Software. Parris joined GE from IBM, where he held a series of leadership roles in IBM Systems & Technology Group and IBM Research. Most recently, he served as vice president of Systems Research for IBM Research. Prior to this role, he was the general manager of the Power (Unix) Systems Division and vice president of software development for IBM Systems & Technology Group. Parris holds an MBA from Stanford University (as a Sloan Fellow) and earned his doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Karin Remington is a leader in the field of data science. Prior to joining Arjuna Solutions, Karin was the Director of the (NIH) National Institute of General Medical Sciences' Division of Biomedical Technology, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology, where she was responsible for a program focused on developing and researching projects that integrate biology with computer sciences, engineering, mathematics, physics, and technology. Karin also served as Co-Chair of the White House Big Data Initiative and the Congressional Big Data Steering Group. As Co-Chair, Karin helped lead the effort to identify and develop technologies that improve our ability to extract knowledge and insights from large amounts of digital information. Recently, Karin was named one of the country's "150 Best and Brightest" individuals working on cutting-edge technology by the National Academies Keck Futures Initiative.
