Cordero Rojo Mine, Mining Plan Modification Environmental Assessment

Welcome to the OSMRE Cordero Rojo Mine mining plan modification Environmental Assessment (EA) webpage. Here you will be able to view and download all documents relating to this EA as they become available to the public. For more information about this project see About the Project. When available, the EA and other supporting documentation will be posted in the Document Library.

Available EA

OSMRE has completed an EA and unsigned Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI), for future surface mining operations in the Federal Coal Lease WYW- 174407 at the Cordero Rojo Mine. The EA and the unsigned FONSI can be found in the Document Library. OSMRE will accept written or emailed comments until August 7, 2017. All comments must be received or postmarked by August 7, 2017, to be considered.

A printed version of the EA and unsigned FONSI can also be reviewed at the following locations:
