IES Research Funding Opportunities On-Demand Webinars

The Institute of Education Sciences is hosting a series of on-demand webinars for those interested in FY 2021 funding opportunities. The webinars are presented by staff from the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER) and the National Center for Education Research (NCER) and resources include presentations, transcripts, and closed-caption video recordings. These presentations will be posted on a rolling basis. In addition, IES program officers will be hosting virtual office hours from June 22 – July 2, 2020. IES Basic Overview of Research Grants and Information for New Applicants to IES
In this webinar, IES staff provide general information about the funding opportunities in NCER and NCSER, the research project types, and the peer review process. IES staff also provide tips for first-time applicants. If you have not applied to IES before, or you are considering applying to IES, this webinar provides a broad overview of our grant funding and some considerations to help you decide whether to submit an application.

NEW COMPETITION: NAEP Process Data for Learners with Disabilities (84.324P)

IES provides two on-demand webinars that include an overview of the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) and specific information about the NAEP Process Data Restricted-Use File. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review these webinars and supporting documents as you prepare your application for the funding opportunity, NAEP Process Data for Learners with Disabilities (84.324P).

NEW COMPETITION: Using Longitudinal Data to Support State Policymaking (305S)

The IES Using Longitudinal Data to Support State Policymaking (Using Data) grant program seeks to expand state education agencies' use of their SLDSs to provide evidence when making policy decisions. This webinar, Using SLDS Data to Address Key Education Issues, is a partnership between the SLDS Grant Program and the National Center for Education Research (NCER) to provide helpful information as states identify and develop proposals in response to this grant opportunity.
