The NIDCR strategic plan will help guide the Institute’s funding of research over the next six years. Strategic planning is used to establish priorities, set clear goals, and detail the actions needed to achieve them. A strategic plan helps NIDCR focus energy and resources to achieve a common set of goals with agreed upon outcomes.
Concepts represent early planning stages for initiatives in which NIDCR seeks to support research in an understudied and significant area of science.
NIDCR 2030 is a strategic visioning initiative designed to advance dental, oral, and craniofacial research over the next 15 years. In 2030, we imagine a world where dental, oral, and craniofacial health and disease are understood in the context of the whole body, and research transforms how we promote health, treat disease, and overcome health disparities, so all people have the opportunity to lead healthy lives.
