Technology transfer is a growing field that encompasses scientific research, innovation, law, and business. In order to facilitate the growth of this field, training and development opportunities are available from many sources, including:

- Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

- Licensing Executives Society International (LESI)
- National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2)
- American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)
- Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM)
- World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) (IP Panorama)
- Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO)
- State and local technology or economic development offices
In addition, many Federal agencies offer internships and Fellowships. For example, the NCI TTC offers Fellowships to those with advanced degrees (information) and volunteer (non-paying) internships to undergraduates and graduate students (contact(link sends e-mail)).
