Summer Learning

ULC libraries serve as essential summer learning leaders in their communities, providing innovative summer reading and active learning opportunities for children, youth and families during this critical time when schools are closed and the risk of falling behind is high.

Through a strategic partnership with the National Summer Learning Association, ULC continues to identify, support and advance the ways in which public libraries are reaching more kids in more ways and in more places during the summer months – especially those from low-income communities who may not have access to other learning opportunities.

We are proud to showcase ULC libraries’ innovative summer learning programs and partnerships through an updated online resource guide, a series of publications and national initiatives that highlight the ways in which public libraries are ensuring that kids return to school ready to stay on track and thrive.
