Mr. Reginald Cole Sr. assumed his current position as Deputy Director of Training for the United States Army Military Police School on 23 August 2004. In this role, he is responsible for directing a staff of over 220 military and civilian personnel and overseeing the execution of an 8.1 million dollar annual operating budget in support of over 40,000 Military Police Soldiers and Department of the Army Civilian Police, and 18,000 students annually.  Mr. Cole is also directly responsible for developing, orchestrating and executing strategic level directives, initiatives and objectives that meet the training and education needs for Soldiers and Federal Civilians performing Basic Law Enforcement, Criminal Investigations and Corrections functions within the Department of Defense.  Mr. Cole assumes the role of Director of Training for the Military Police School in the incumbent’s absence.

During a distinguished career as a Military Policeman that spanned 27 years, culminating in his retirement from military service in August of 2004, Mr. Cole held numerous key positions including: Commandant and Assistant Commandant, Maneuver Support Center Noncommissioned Officer Academy and Drill Sergeant School (the largest in the US Army), Directorate of Training Sergeant Major, Law Enforcement Command Sergeant Major, Operations Sergeant Major, and First Sergeant. Mr. Cole also served in key assignments with the 7th Infantry Division, 5th Infantry Division, 2nd Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division, 6th Recruiting Brigade, 18th Military Police Brigade, 89th Military Police Brigade, 14th Military Police Brigade, 519th Military Police Battalion, and Law Enforcement Command.

Mr. Cole’s military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medals, and other service medals, awards and citations. He is a recipient of the Military Police Corps Regiment Order of the Marechaussee in Silver and in Bronze, the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Regimental Order of the Dragon, and he is a 2014 inductee into the Military Police Corps Hall of Fame.

Mr. Cole is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College, Albany, New York and a Master’s Degree in Education from Drury University, Springfield, Missouri. He is also a graduate of Class 51 of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas, the Department of the Army Civilian Education System Advanced Course, Organizational Leadership for Executives Course, and Continuing Education for Senior Leaders Course.
