MESSAGE FROM THE INSPECTOR GENERAL
Thank you for your interest in joining the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Inspector General (OIG). We support the Congress, the Department, and the public in HUD’s mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. The OIG is charged by Congress with providing programmatic oversight and advice to HUD. Its legislative mandate also includes investigating allegations of fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement. Our reviews and reports are used by HUD Officials, Congress, and the Administration in setting policy and improving their operations.
