Registration with the System for Award Management

Contractors that provide services to government agencies are required to file registration information with the System for Award Management (SAM), unless the purchase is made with a government purchase card.

Registration with SAM is easy. You can register online in a matter of minutes with SAM or call 1-866-606-8220. SAM uses the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) to identify contractors. If you do not have a DUNS number, you may obtain one or call 1-866-990-5845.

Once you are registered in SAM, all of the information required to conduct future business with ARC -- or with any agency of the government -- is maintained in the system and only needs to be renewed once a year.

Please note that changing your business name, "doing business as" name, or division name in SAM without providing the responsible Contracting Officer a minimum of one business day's written notification will delay payment processing.

Business.USA.gov is the U.S. government's official web portal to support business start-ups, growth, financing and exporting. It is designed to provide access to online resources and services of Federal, state, and local Government as well as those of non-profit and educational organizations supporting businesses.

Information on Invoice Processing

The Administrative Resource Center uses the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) to process invoices submitted by vendors for the goods/services they provide.

IPP is a secure web-based system that is free of charge and allows vendors to monitor the status of their invoice throughout the processing cycle. The following links provide answers to questions you might have about invoice processing:
