Report Fraud, Waste and Abuse

Due to the evolving situation concerning the coronavirus (COVID-19), the HUD OIG mail operations are suspended and we strongly encourage that you file all inquiries and/or complaints electronically to Whistleblower Report Form, Hotline Complaint Form or FOIA Requests.

Not all reports of fraud, waste and abuse are Whistleblower complaints. Federal employees, Federal contractors and grantees have certain Whistleblower rights and protections against retaliation for a previously reported disclosure. If you are not covered as a Whistleblower you can still submit a report to the OIG Hotline. You may submit anonymously or ask for confidentiality. The following pages explain in more detail who and what is covered as a Whistleblower.
