Provocative Questions Initiative Funding Opportunity Announcements

The Provocative Questions (PQ) Initiative is a research program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) established to stimulate research in perplexing and underexplored areas identified by the cancer research community.

NCI has selected nine PQs for 2020, with two Requests for Applications (R01External Web Site Policy and R21External Web Site Policy). Staff from the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences at NCI are involved with seven PQs that may be of particular interest to population science researchers. Specifically, HDRP is involved with PQ #7 and #8:

  • Provocative Question #7: What methods can be developed to integrate patient-generated health data into electronic health records? For questions, contact: Roxanne Jensen
  • Provocative Question #8: What strategies improve and sustain the coordination of comprehensive healthcare for underserved cancer patients with comorbid conditions? For questions, contact: Erica S. Breslau

The application due dates are June 2, 2020 and November 17, 2020.
