Thank you for being the only congressman from Virginia to vote for the resolution to the fiscal cliff. Even tho the bill wasn't perfect I am glad you saw the sense to the resolution of the issue. You will always have my vote.

I appreciate you clearing up that mistake of probably a young overzealous staffer, and for not blocking me anymore. I know the fiscal cliff was not an easy choice, but I'm still concerned about the lack of debt reduction, along with struggling hard working families especially being affected by it.

Today I launched an effort to add a gun buyback provision to the fiscal cliff negotiations. By distributing federal funds to state and local governments to initiate buyback programs, we can take as many as 1 million guns off our streets, saving countless lives. Now is the time to take a first step to reduce gun violence in America.
