The National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) concatenated 2002-2018 public-use file is the latest in the NSDUH series. NSDUH is the primary source of statistical information on the use of tobacco, alcohol, prescription drugs, and illicit drugs by the U.S. civilian, noninstitutionalized population aged 12 or older. The survey also includes several series of questions that focus on mental health issues.

The National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services (N-SSATS) is an annual census designed to collect information from all facilities within the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories, both public and private, that provide substance abuse treatment.
