COVID-19, commonly referred to as the coronavirus, is a respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus. It originated in Wuhan, China and has spread globally. On March 11th, the World Health Organization declared the spread of this disease a pandemic after the virus reached more than 100 locations internationally. Governments across the globe are figuring out the best way to prevent the spread of this virus, but we cannot do it without your help.

Where did COVID-19 originate?

This pandemic is the direct result of the Chinese Communist Party's malfeasance and misrule. The first case was reported in December in Wuhan, China. Heroic Chinese doctors tried to warn medical professionals and the government about this dangerous disease, they were silenced by the CCP for "spreading rumors" and "disrupting social order." 

By the time the CCP acknowledged what was happening, it was too late. A full blown epidemic was underway with no chance of containment in sight. Hundreds of thounds are infected across the globe, thousands have died, and many more will, all because of China's refusal to acknowledge a virus running rampant in their communist controlled country. 

What does this mean for me?

Experts believe that groups at high risk of infection include those who have traveled to areas with high infection rates, the elderly, and those with pre-existing conditions that may leave them immunocompromised. They believe that the risk to children and healthy young adults is relatively low -- but that doesn't mean the young and healthy should forget to take care of personal hygiene. It's important we all do our part to beat this thing and keep everyone safe.
