APFO Geospatial Services Branch

The Geospatial Services Branch (GSB) provides technical and programmatic support, and assistance on geospatial related issues to Farm Service Agency (FSA) Service Centers, State Offices, and Headquarters offices as well as to other government agencies and the public.  The Branch has two sections:  Service Center Support and Geospatial Services.  The Service Center Support Section (SCSS) focuses on research, analysis, process development, geospatial education, training materials, product enhancement, product specifications, and improving efficiency in all aspects of geospatial business.  The emphasis of the Geospatial Services Section (GSS) is to produce accurate, quality checked georeferenced and ortho imagery from a variety of current and historical sources. GSS also has the responsibility of defining coverage and flight planning for the National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP).
