Data Access (USHCN)
USHCN version 2.5 monthly data are available at the following location ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/ushcn/v2.5/. When using USHCN v2.5 data for analysis (as well as Menne et al. 2009) NCEI requests that users cite the version number and timestamp of the dataset. Please see the "readme.txt" file in the v2.5 directory for information on downloading and reading the v2.5 data. The “status.txt” file provides information about the processing of the USHCN v2.5 data. U.S. HCN version 2 monthly data will continue to be updated through 2012 and will be available in static form thereafter; however, users are encouraged to make the transition to version 2.5 as soon as possible.
