ASPR Grants Management

The grants process is divided into seven main parts:
Funding Opportunities ASPR announces grant funding opportunities through Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs).  Each FOA contains the information you need to apply. To apply for an ASPR grant, you must register on Grants.gov.  To be considered, you must adhere to the requirements specified in the FOA.  Learn More >>

Application Review DGM oversees the review and evaluation of grant applications to ensure reviewers and agency personnel comply with management policies and regulations, and with sound business management practices. The Program Management Office  evaluates grant applications for their programmatic value.  Learn More >>
Negotiations The negotiation process may be minimal or may involve negotiating all aspects of the grant award with the applicant. The Grants Management Office represents the government in all negotiations with recipients. The Program Management Office will provide information and/or participate in negotiations. Learn More >>
Award The award process involves the preparation of the Notice of Award (NoA) and officially obligates funds for the grant. Upon receipt of a Notice of Award all grantees should read through the entire award notice including the terms and conditions of that award.   Learn More >>
Post-Award Monitoring Recipients are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of grant-supported activities using their established controls and policies. ASPR monitors their grants to identify potential problems and areas where technical assistance might be necessary. Learn More >>
Closeout Closeout is the process that completes the grant agreement between the awarding agency and the recipient.  Closeout requires close collaboration and cooperation between ASPR and the grantees.
