Welcome to the National Court Interpreter Database (NCID) Gateway

The NCID is used by the federal courts to obtain contact information on contract court interpreters when there is a need for interpreting services in court matters instituted by the United States. Interpreters certified through the Judiciary's Federal Court Interpreter Certification Examination are automatically entered in the NCID. Otherwise, if you wish to be included in the NCID, you need to contact your nearest U.S. District Court. If the court has a need for interpreters in your language, your credentials will be verified and your name may be included in the database. You do not need to pay a fee of any kind to be included in the NCID.

If your name is already included in the NCID, you can log into the NCID Self-Care Portal above. To log in, you will need to use the e-mail address currently included in your NCID record. All NCID records have been assigned a temporary password. To reset your password, leave the User ID and Password box blank and click on the "Request Password Reset" Link.

If you require additional assistance, need to request a change to your name, or are unable to log in or retrieve your password, please e-mail the NCID Administrator or call 202-502-1500. For security purposes, all e-mail correspondence must originate from the e-mail address on your NCID record, including requests to change your e-mail address.
