These 2017 Guidelines were developed for early introduction of peanut-containing foods into the diets of infants at various risk levels for peanut allergy.

Immunotherapy is not currently approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use to treat food allergy. However, research to investigate different approaches to immunotherapy in food allergy is ongoing. This is a summary of approaches.
