Coronavirus Tax Relief and Economic Impact Payments for Individuals and Families

Find help for individual and families affected by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This page will be updated as new information is available.

Economic Impact Payments

We started issuing Economic Impact Payments in April. Keep the notice you received regarding your Economic Impact Payment with your 2020 tax records. These notices are mailed to each recipient’s last known address within 15 days after the Payment is made.

Anyone who does not receive a payment this year – including those who are not normally required to file a federal tax return will need to wait until next year and claim it as a credit on your 2020 federal income tax return. Taxpayers can claim the recovery rebate credit on their tax year 2020 tax return in 2021 if they didn't receive a payment or if their payment wasn't the correct amount.

Coronavirus-Related Paid Leave for Workers

You are entitled to paid sick leave, either to tend to your own health needs or to care for a family member.
