2021 Open Enrollment is over. See if you can still get coverage

The deadline for 2021 Marketplace insurance that starts January 1 has passed. If you missed it, you may still be able to get or change 2021 coverage 2 ways: with a Special Enrollment Period or through Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Through a Special Enrollment Period

• If you experience certain types of life events, like losing health coverage, getting married, or having a baby, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to enroll in a Marketplace plan for 2021. See the full list of life changes that may qualify.
• You can also answer a few questions about your situation to see if you can still enroll or change for 2021.

Through Medicaid or CHIP

• Medicaid and CHIP provide free or low-cost health coverage to millions of Americans, including some low-income people, families and children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
• If you qualify, you can enroll right away. Select the second button, and answer a few questions to see if these options may be available to you.
