   ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

   ...SUMMARY...
Thunderstorm development will be possible late tonight from parts of
the Texas Hill Country northeastward to the Arklatex. No severe
   thunderstorms are expected.

   ...DISCUSSION...
An upper-level ridge will move into the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys
today as an upper-level trough moves across the Desert Southwest.
Ahead of the western U.S. trough, weak moisture return will take
place across the southern Plains. A low-level jet is forecast to
strengthen across the eastern third of Texas tonight. In response,
lift may be sufficient for isolated thunderstorm development from
the Texas Hill Country northeastward to the Arklatex. However,
instability will be insufficient for a severe threat. Elsewhere
across the continental United States, thunderstorm development is
   not expected today or tonight.
