The map grants access to GFS Model forecast loops for twelve domains in the Americas, covering a period of 5-6 days into the future. The loops are generated with algorithms developed at the WPC International Desks, specifically designed to identify the potential for the occurrence of weather features such as fronts, and weather hazards such as heavy rainfall, hail and severe convection. The algorithms were coded using Wingridds software. Many thanks to Jeff Krob, for developing Wingridds to a level that made this possible.
