DAVID M. WULF APPOINTED TTB DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR

David M. Wulf has been appointed Deputy Administrator of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). Mr. Wulf is a seasoned senior executive who comes to us from the Department of Homeland Security, where he served as Associate Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and as the acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection.

Mr. Wulf started his career in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), where he served in a number of leadership positions, including Chief of the Office of Regulatory Affairs, Director of the National Center for Explosives Training and Research, and Senior Counsel for Field Operations. He also served as the acting Deputy Assistant Director of ATF’s Office of Public and Governmental Affairs.

After joining the Department of Homeland Security in 2011, Mr. Wulf led and evolved a number of high profile organizations, programs, and initiatives, serving at the forefront of numerous prominent national issues. As the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s chief regulator, Mr. Wulf led the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program and secured the program’s long-term statutory authorization.

In all of these roles, Mr. Wulf provided exceptional leadership and successfully executed public affairs and legislative strategies. He is known for working effectively across a wide variety of stakeholder communities and has built strong, mutually beneficial partnerships at the Federal, State, and local levels—as well as on the international stage. Mr. Wulf reports to TTB on January 3.
