Cameron Bishop, AUSTR

Assistant United States Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs

Cameron Bishop serves as Assistant United States Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs. In this capacity, he oversees and advises USTR on all issues involving the United States Congress, and previously served as Deputy Assistant United States Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs.

Prior to joining USTR, Mr. Bishop advised three Members of Congress on an array of policies issues including trade policy. Mr. Bishop served in legislative roles including as legislative director for Representatives Austin Scott and Rick Allen, and as a legislative assistant for Representative Mike Rogers. As legislative director Mr. Bishop oversaw all policy issues and managed a team of legislative staff, and in all three positions served as primary policy advisor for agriculture work for Members seated on the House Committee on Agriculture. Before coming to Washington, Mr. Bishop served as a legislative assistant for a state trade association in Atlanta, Georgia working primarily at the Georgia State Capitol. 

A native of Dunwoody, Georgia, Mr. Bishop graduated with a double major from the University of Georgia.

Mr. Bishop currently resides in Washington, DC, with his wife Claire and their daughter Charlotte.
