Major Winter Storm Impacting the Northeast and Mid Atlantic

A major winter storm will continue to impact much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S. before gradually diminishing Thursday afternoon and evening. A widespread swath of heavy snowfall is likely from the central Appalachians and interior Mid-Atlantic into parts of the Northeast. Strong, gusty winds and coastal flooding are also expected.
