Collaborate

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has a long history of leveraging the unique capabilities and expertise that support the Laboratory’s mission to partner with federal agencies, universities, industry, and other national laboratories. These interactions take advantage of Livermore’s core strengths, draw on the complementary strengths of the partner institutions, and add depth and breadth to the Laboratory’s S&T base.

Government
Federal agencies and state and local governments can access Livermore's unique capabilities through the Strategic Partnership Projects program. Through its many partnerships with government agencies, the Laboratory ensures that its capabilities help address current and emerging national needs.

Industry
The Innovation and Partnerships Office (IPO) serves as a focal point for LLNL engagement with industry, as well as state and local government entities, universities, non-profits, and others by identifying new economic opportunities and moving them to the private sector. Philanthropy
While Lawrence Livermore itself is not a non-profit organization able to accept charitable gifts, we collaborate with universities, non-governmental organizations, and non-profits, so there are opportunities through those organizations to provide philanthropic support for research, technology development, and educational endeavors consistent with the Laboratory’s programs.
