Environmental Reviews

The list below shows environmental projects that per NEPA regulations require FRA to pursue an Environmental Assessment (EA) and/or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). These projects represent only a portion of FRA’s environmental documents. FRA also completes environmental reviews for non-site-specific projects, such as the use of locomotive horns.

Every attempt has been made to provide correct links and files in accessible formats. If you have difficulty accessing an environmental document referenced on FRA’s website or have a question regarding FRA’s NEPA requirements, please contact FRAenvironment@dot.gov.
