Use the map or search bar to locate wildland fire and other natural resource incidents. Click a marker on the map and use the "Go to Incident" button for detailed information. From the incident page you can access announcements, closures, news, maps, and photographs from the menu below the map (on mobile phones tap the menu button).
Use the target icon to zoom the map to your current location. If prompted, accept the location services permission request from your browser. There are a number of factors that can cause your location to display incorrectly, such as connecting from a computer inside a private network. For more information see the location services help page.
News releases and announcements are listed in the right-hand column of most pages. Articles are automatically filtered as you drill down into data. For instance, when viewing the table of incidents in California the list of articles will be only for the state of California.
The map based navigation of incidents may not work for those using screen reader or other assistive technology. For those users, a filtered table list of incidents is available.
