How do I log in?
Once your membership account has been created, you will receive an email from MangoApps with instructions on how to join. Visit https://mypeers.mangoapps.com/ and login with your email address and password. Your first task should be to roll your mouse over your own name in the upper right corner. Choose "View My Profile" and then roll your mouse over your own initials and change your profile picture. Be sure to use a photo, avatar, or cartoon of yourself; do not represent a picture of someone else as yourself.
How do I find communities to join?
Communities are open to all members of MyPeers. You can freely check them out and join the ones of interest to you. Choose "Communities" from the left-hand navigation. Make sure the filter in the upper right corner is set to "All Communities" instead of "My Communities." You'll then see a series of icons representing all open MyPeers communities. Select an icon to enter the community. Look around at the news feed, documents, and other resources. If you'd like to receive community updates, select the blue "Join" button in the upper right corner.
How do I join a workgroup?
Workgroups are limited to only those members with permission to join. Please do not request permission to join a workgroup unless you are positive you are supposed to be there. Choose "Workgroups" from the left-hand navigation. Make sure the filter in the upper right corner is set to "All Workgroups" instead of "My Workgroups." You'll then see a series of icons representing all closed MyPeers workgroups. Select an icon to enter the workgroup. If you are not a member, you can only read a short description of the workgroup. If you believe you have been invited, feel free to select the blue "Join" button. You will then need to await approval from the workgroup administrator to join the workgroup.
How do I get fewer/more email notifications?
To set your notifications, roll your mouse over your own name in the upper right corner. Choose "Change My Settings" and then "Change What's Important." Go through each of the tabs and check off any items you want to be notified about. Leave blank any items for which you do not want to receive notifications. Don't forget to save your changes.
What do I do if my email address changes?
Login to MyPeers with your old email address. Select "View My Profile" by rolling your mouse over your own name in the upper right corner. In the "Profile Info" tab, choose the pencil icon next to "Contact Details." There, you may change your email address and update any other information. The next time you login, use your updated email address.
How do I use the app?
Download the MangoApps application (app) from the App Store or Google Play for Apple and Android devices. Once downloaded, be sure to change the domain name to mypeers.mangoapps.com. Use your email address and password to log in. You must have a MyPeers account to login and cannot sign up via the app.
How do I start a new community or workgroup?
From the MyPeers Central community, select the "Pages" tab on the left. Choose "Request New Community/Workgroup" from the upper tabs. There you will find a blank form to complete and submit to the Mayor of MyPeers. The Technical Review Committee will review your proposal and get back to you with any questions and/or their approval of the new community or workgroup.
