COVID-19 Information

Country-Specific Information:
- The Republic of Congo has confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 14, 2020. As of December 12, there were 6,200 confirmed cases, 5,003 (unchanged) recoveries and 100 confirmed deaths.
- The government of The Republic of Congo extended a State of Health Emergency until December 16 to limit the spread of COVID-19. The curfew in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire is from 23:00 until 05:00, Mondays through Fridays and from 20:00 until 05:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
- The Congolese air borders opened on August 24 for international flights. International air carriers are resuming some services into and from Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire.
- Land and river borders remain closed.
- Places of worship, schools, restaurants and bars are open.
Entry and Exit Requirements:
- Are U.S. citizens permitted to enter? Yes
- Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? Yes
- Are health screening procedures in place at airports and other ports of entry? Yes
Movement Restrictions:
- Is a curfew in place? Yes
- On Monday through Friday from 23:00 until 05:00 in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire.
- On Saturday and Sunday and holidays from 20:00 until 5:00 in Brazzaville and Pointe Noire.
- The curfew is lifted for the rest of the country.
- Law enforcement units may fine or arrest people who are found non-compliant.
Quarantine Information:
- Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes
- All international passengers are required to self-quarantine for two weeks in their residence or hotel for 14 day upon arrival. Passengers in transit will be quarantined at their expense at designated facilities until they resume their travels

Brazzaville : Laboratoire National de Sante Publique or Fondation Congolaise de la Recherche Medicale.
Pointe-Noire : National Public Health Laboratory located at: Hôpital General de Loandili or Laboratoire de la foundation Gombes.

- Masks are still required in public and social distancing and hygiene requirements continue to be implemented.
