I am waiting for food at a local restaurant. I am sitting in my car. I am watching people walk into the gym next door (Madison and MHS) and NO ONE is wearing a mask. This is why we have had almost 100 new cases a day in the last week. I thought all gyms were closed. My gym is closed. Two women walking on treadmills next to each other and two guys boxing. No masks.

I think RBG would have been so proud of the Supreme Court Justices with their decision, personally to Donald Trump. She is looking down with the biggest smile and so very proud! RBG, you can finally rest in peace.

Hello neighbors I just recently just moved here and I don't really know anyone. I have a 16 yr old daughter with special needs who doesn't have anything for Christmas and I was wondering if anyone knows of any charities that could help me with presents and food

Thanks

Does anyone know what’s going on with Bainbridge? We’ve been waiting an hour and only moved 0.10 miles.

Dear Friends:

Yesterday I was humbled and honored to take the oath of office to serve as your California State Representative for our 67th Assembly District.

Being a life-long public servant, first as a 35 year career firefighter and retired Battalion Chief, and then as a local councilmember and mayor, I understand the significance of the trust you have placed in me and I pledge to do all that I can to uphold the values of our community and better our great state.

Moments after swearing in, I introduced legislation to protect citizens from identity theft and fight unemployment insurance fraud at the Employment Development Department.

AB 12 is an urgency measure that will require EDD to stop including an individual’s personal Social Security number on mailed documents by July of this year. This simple adjustment will safeguard Californians and their privacy while also helping to reduce the backlog of millions of claims held up by fraud. Full social security numbers are being incorrectly delivered to strangers while others wait for months for benefits. This is unacceptable and Californians deserve better service from their government.

In addition to working towards streamlining government agencies and improving their services, I will be focusing my efforts in Sacramento on issues important to our district. These include taxpayer protections, promoting public safety, forest fire management, infrastructure improvements, and working towards an economic recovery that supports both small business owners and workers.

California is facing an economic crisis like no other. We need to get people back to work safely. We will also need to take a long hard look at reducing the cost of living and improving quality of life to ensure all Californians and businesses can afford to stay in our beautiful state.

I am looking forward to this upcoming legislative year and I am very grateful for this opportunity to be of service. Please take a moment to visit my website at www.asm.ca.gov/67 and follow me on social media.

It is privilege to be your voice in Sacramento. Thank you.
