Who can use the Library's reading rooms? Can I use the Library's reading rooms?
The Library's Main Reading Room is open to all researchers 16 years or older who present valid photo identification (e.g. driver's license, passport) with a current address at one of the Library's reader registration stations.
Please note: Several of the Library's special format reading rooms restrict access to their collections to college-aged students and above. For clarification, please Ask a Librarian for more information, or contact individual reading rooms. A list of reading rooms can be found here, or at https://www.loc.gov/rr/.
