Skiing near Casper

Hogadon Ski Area, located on Casper Mountain, has a nice variety of terrain for visitors to the center of the state. This small resort offers affordable skiing and a variety of runs, including a terrain among its 92 acres of skiable runs.

Skiing near Cody

Sleeping Giant Ski Area near Cody, has epic runs and is only three miles from Yellowstone National Park. Another incredibly affordable resort, Sleeping Giant includes 49 runs for varying skill levels, two terrain parks and a 6,619-foot vertical drop.

Skiing near Jackson

In the far northwest corner of the state in Jackson, winter enthusiasts can hit the slopes at three ski areas: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King Resort and Grand Targhee Resort.

With 2,500 acres of legendary terrain, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers a 4,139-foot vertical rise and unparalleled backcountry access. On the other side of Jackson, Snow King Resort brings a completely different ski experience as it caters to those who prefer long, steep slopes. If skiing isn’t the only thing on your agenda, this resort offers two-hour lift tickets at a great price. On the back of the Teton Mountains, Grand Targhee Resort provides a slower pace for new and family skiers. Wide-open spaces and plenty of powder allow everyone to enjoy the experience at their own speed.

Skiing near Laramie

In southeast Wyoming near Laramie, Snowy Range Ski Area is ideal for a laid-back family ski trip. This low-cost resort features a majority of beginner and intermediate runs perfectly for those new to the sport or craving a relaxed day on the slopes.

Skiing near Pinedale

Nestled among the Wind River Mountains near Pinedale, you’ll find the locally owned White Pine Ski Area. This small and affordable mountain features 25 runs over a variety of terrain  and features stunning views of the Continental Divide and Wind River Mountains. The resort is adjacent to over 20 miles of cross-country ski trails for those who prefer a more leisurely skiing pace.

Skiing near Sheridan

Head to Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area for an off-the-grid experience in Bighorn National Forest. Featuring 28 trails to ski and ride, three lifts plus miles of groomed trails for fat biking, snowshoeing and Nordic skiing, this area has a little bit of everything for the winter enthusiast.

Skiing near Ten Sleep

For affordable, family-friendly skiing in north-central Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, consider Meadowlark Ski Lodge. This ski area near Ten Sleep features 14 runs, most of which are for beginner and intermediate skiers. Lodging and snowmobile rentals are available on the other side of Meadowlark Lake, with over 450 miles of groomed snowmobile trails nearby.
