Tonight is the @dentonmsa Virtual Holiday Lighting Festival for 2020! 🎄 Traditionally there would also be plenty of wassail flowing from the downtown businesses this weekend as well. This year we hope you will be inspired to make-your-own, or stop by our neighbor @gnomecones to pick up a cup of their fresh and tasty wassail!

Byrd William IV, a fourth generation Texas photographer, has a selection of portraits available for viewing in the UNT CoLab gallery until December 23rd.

Through the lens of his large format, vintage film cameras, Byrd captures and preserves glimpses of our current existence as documentation and history for future generations - all taken in his third floor downtown Denton studio. The project, along with the entire family archive is part of UNT Special Collections.

We are pleased to present a very special exhibit currently on view in the gallery.

Byrd Williams IV, a fourth generation photographer, has a selection of his Walking Dead portraits installed in the space. This collection, along with the entirety of his family archives, are now part of the UNT Special Collections. These stunning large format portraits, utilizing vintage cameras, capture the individual as they are today, and are subsequently processed in a manner to preserve them for future generations. Featuring many local Dentonites, Byrd has been living and shooting portraits on the Denton square for the past two years.

The exhibit will be available to view until December 23rd.
