    This website provides guidance for ships originating from, or stopping in, the United States to help prevent, detect and medically manage suspected COVID-19 infections.
  • Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
    The Center for Disease Control website with guidance and resources for managing the Coronavirus.
  • U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Industry Information
    News, updates and Maritime Safety Information Bulletins related to the novel coronavirus and specifically related to the professional maritime community can be found at Coast Guard Maritime Commons.
  • National Maritime Center
    This website provides mariners information related to COVID-19 and its impact on training and the licensing process.
  • Notice to Mariners with International Voyages
    The attached notice provides information to mariners for Merchant Mariner Passport renewals. Passport Services will also serve mariners who urgently need a passport for international voyages and whose current valid passport expires in thirteen months or less. Mariners will need to verify that they are actively employed and preparing to sail. 
  • Department of Homeland Security Critical Infrastructure Information
    Functioning critical infrastructure is particularly important to the nation during the COVID-19 response for both public health and safety as well as community wellbeing. The Department of Homeland Security is providing guidance to state, local and industry partners in identifying the critical infrastructure sectors and the essential workers needed to maintain the services and functions Americans depend on daily and need to operate resiliently during the COVID-19 pandemic response.

  • Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency
    The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency works with government and industry to identify, analyze, prioritize and manage the most significant strategic risks to the nation's critical infrastructure. Working in collaboration with other federal agencies, state and local governments, and the private sector, CISA has published guidance providing executives with the tools to help them think through physical, supply chain and cybersecurity issues that may arise from the spread of Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19, as well as an advisory list identifying workers who conduct a range of operations and services that are typically essential to continued critical infrastructure viability.
  • International Maritime Organization Coronavirus Resources
    The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping.
  • World Health Organization
    The World Health Organization provides technical guidance on managing Coronavirus in a maritime environment, including how to manage an outbreak onboard vessels.
  • International Chamber of Shipping (ICS)
    The ICS is an international trade association for merchant shipowners and operators and has produced guidance on managing ships and seafarers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • International Seafarers' Welfare and Assistance Network
    This membership organization works to promote and support the welfare of seafarers worldwide and has posted Coronavirus information for mariners as parts its Ship Health Information Programme.
  • International Group of P&I Clubs COVID-19 Tracker
    An online tool designed to assist shipowners, operators and other members of the maritime community to track country- and port-specific advice and measures being put in place in response to the pandemic.
