FACES 

The Fellowship for the Advancement of Cultural Education of Students (FACES) is a multicultural club at UNT whose mission is to unite people by embracing cultural diversity as well as through realizing and respecting different perspectives. We work with various organizations along with TAMS, such as the Heart House in Dallas and an international micro-loans initiative, to foster these global connections. We also host cultural celebrations for the TAMS community so that students can experience the different cultures surrounding them.

HOPE

HOPE, Helping Other People Everywhere, is the largest student-led organization dedicated to community service at the TAMS. We provide year-round volunteering through our 18 committees, host the annual HOPE Auction and Dance charity fundraiser, organize four blood drives in collaboration with Carter BloodCare throughout the year, and much more! Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) & Robotics The mission of the Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) is to cultivate a passion for science, engineering, and technology. We have an extensive outreach program in which we aim to provide STEM engagement throughout the community and make scientific discovery accessible to all. We volunteer year-round in the surrounding community, creating fun and fascinating experiments for children to learn and grow from. We also have our very popular biannual Science Adventure Camp in which we invite 80 underprivileged children to come and learn about STEM for free! In addition, we also participate in various competitions including Science Olympiad, Science Bowl, and FIRST Robotics, developing the next generation of STEM professionals with diverse interests. Mu Alpha Theta Mu Alpha Theta (MAO) is the official math club at TAMS, and our mission is to recognize and foster mathematical interests in the student body. We participate in many competitions throughout the year including Texas A&M University High School Mathematics Contest, Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, F=MA, and AMC 12. Additionally, we strive to impact our community and encourage math pursuits through local elementary school volunteering.

Naturally

Naturally, the environmental club of TAMS, is dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, encouraging sustainability, and cultivating a love for the outdoors within the TAMS community and the surrounding area. We host fun campouts, run the TAMS Garden, Recycling and Bike Share programs, and volunteer with external organizations such as the Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center and Keep Denton Beautiful in order to achieve our mission of sustainability and environmentalism.

TAMS Academic Society (formerly Teach & Learn) TAMS Academic Society is dedicated towards fostering an environment in which individuals are able to thrive academically through the use of our peer tutoring system and academic committees. We also focus on giving back to those who need it most in our surrounding community of North Texas through our variety of education-based volunteering committees such as tutoring ESL students and working with specialists to help children in the Autism community. Additionally, we aim to create an impact globally through She's the First, an international nonprofit dedicated towards funding the education of female scholars in low-income countries. Furthermore, we offer opportunities for students to challenge themselves academically through a variety of academic competitions such as academic decathlon and various humanities focused programs. Artificial Intelligence Society The Artificial Intelligence Society (AIS) aims to increase the TAMS community’s understanding of artificial intelligence techniques and applications. Through guided study and regular competitions, we will crystallize the process of creating machine learning algorithms and explore the multitude of problems they can be applied to. By the end of the year, members will have the skills to pursue AI-based projects on their own, which will be demonstrated by a cumulative group project showcase.

Driving Tomorrow Driving Tomorrow is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit founded to unite the TAMS and UNT communities to assist disadvantaged communities. We aim to provide meaningful community service projects and volunteering opportunities that create a long-term impact on the community. This goal includes providing resources to those who could not afford them otherwise. By organizing various supply drives, the organization has provided relief to elementary school students, Hurricane Florence victims, homeless shelters, and domestic abuse shelters. In the upcoming year, we want to spread our mission and increase our impact by establishing new chapters of our club in high schools. CONTACT

Docked Bhangra Docked Bhangra is a dance team that's all about having fun and learning to dance along the way. Our goal is to inspire students to become more involved with their community through the art of dance. We integrate different styles of Indian dance and music with elements of hip-hop and contemporary Western music. Eureka! A physics and aeronautics based organization that aims to spread the love of physics to the TAMS and Denton community by tutoring at local middle and high schools, creating fun and exciting events at McConnell Hall, and participating in worldwide recognized physics competitions. CONTACT
 
Facilitating Education Everywhere (FEE) We strive to provide a greater education for special education children in marginalized areas of the world by volunteering year-round with Denton ISD schools. CONTACT
F.L.Y. (First Love Yourself) F.L.Y. (First Love Yourself) aims to provide any necessary services to non-profit organizations who serve women and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness, and poverty to help restore hope and dignity in their lives. Our focus will be on creating a societal shift, starting with the TAMS community, on how people think about domestic violence, and raise awareness regarding its causes, relevance, and impact. We want to help marginalized women, who struggle to achieve and maintain dignity and stability, rebuild their lives by giving them a positive self-image and the ability to feel stronger about who they are and what they can do. In addition, by providing these women with education and resources, we will also be helping to bridge the gap between the varying classes of women. By working alongside Project Beauty Share® and Genesis Women’s Shelter, we would like to contribute to these women’s ongoing and improving success in life.

Forward Tutoring The mission of Forward Tutoring is to drive academic success and promote engaging education by allowing students to receive online tutoring anytime, anywhere. Forward Tutoring provides students with free online one-on-one tutoring along with an interactive forum through a dynamic web platform. We tutor in Math, English, the Sciences and even standardized testing such as the SAT, ACT and PSAT for local students. CONTACT

Nihon Arts & Culture Research Association (NACRA) The TAMS Nihon Arts and Culture Research Association (NACRA) is dedicated to providing an outlet for students to pursue their interests in Oriental, specifically Japanese, media and entertainment and also broaden their knowledge of foreign popular culture through animations, manga, light novels, games, and music. Our goal is for students to be able to share their hobbies with others, thus promoting a social environment where students can have open discussions, learn more about other cultures, and enjoy themselves. We encourage our members to pursue non-academic interests in a fun, safe, and welcoming club environment.

TAMS Active Minds TAMS Active Minds is a club focused on changing the conversation about mental health. We aim to not only reduce the stigma around mental health within the TAMS student body, but to also create a support system and empower young adults through our many volunteer opportunities, panel discussions, group seminars, and events. TAMS Economic Society The TAMS Economics Society is a TAMS Club that would allow students who are interested in economics related topics to converse with like-minded peers, participate in competitions to test and expand their knowledge, as well as learning about the real-world applications of economics. We seek to help students who are interested in economics learn more about the field, as well as inform them of the various opportunities to get involved with economics at UNT (classes, research, student clubs, etc.). TAMS Global Organiztion TGO wishes to empower TAMS students to not only serve their local community, but also to aid the humanitarian needs across the globe. Our club will serve as an umbrella club, overseeing various international aid organizations, including UNICEF allowing each student to take action on issues they are most passionate about. CONTACT

TAMS Radio Control TRC (TAMS Radio Control) is an unadvised club dedicated to educating the TAMS student body on operating radio-controlled drones, planes, and land vehicles. The club is self-sufficient, with the members and executives supplying the radio-controlled (RC) devices themselves. Experience is not required as experienced operators and pilots will be teaching novice students how to fly and drive. The purpose of TRC is to not only educate others about radio control, but to also encourage a fun and stress-free environment while fostering an educational community centered around RC. CONTACT

Red Cross is a multinational organization seeking to provide relief in times of need. Whether it be making care packages for disaster victims or helping military veterans to reintegrate themselves into their communities, Red Cross is there to help. The Supply at UNT

The Supply is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to create schools in Kenya centered on service learning. Our organization thereby activates the urban slum youth in its schools to tackle issues in urban areas. The Supply is redefining education through raising awareness for its cause, working to raise funds, and giving donations to support its schools, its students, and their impactful projects.
