Alic’a Oliver joined the Mean Green as the Director of Compliance in September 2018.

She is tasked with managing the day to day responsibilities of the compliance office, including providing rules education and interpretations to UNT administrators, coaches, staff, and student-athletes in 16 varsity sport programs. In addition, Alic’a serves as the advisor for the department’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and assists with departmental student-athlete development initiatives.

Prior to joining the Mean Green, Alic’a held the same title at the University of Tennessee for just over three years. She arrived on Rocky Top after serving as the compliance coordinator at Kansas State for one year.

A board member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), Alic’a serves as Chair of the Professional Development Committee. The committee is tasked with developing unique opportunities for compliance administrators to develop and advance in the profession. In addition to her service with NAAC, she serves as a member of the Minority Opportunities Athletics Administration (MOAA) Symposium Committee. Alic’a is also an active member of the Women Leaders in College Sports organization, and is a graduate of the Institute for Administrative Advancement.

A native of Missouri City, Texas, Alic’a earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas. She then graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State, where she also served as a legal extern in the LSU Athletics Office of Compliance.
