On Friday, the Institute welcomed a local 5th grade art club for a tour of campus and the art building. The students saw demos in the FabLab and Printmaking studio and caught a glimpse of VR creativity in the New Media Cave. Thanks to all of our awesome studio techs and managers for giving the students a great view of CVAD and UNT!

Thanks to funding from the Hudson Foundation, the Institute is able to provide low-cost professional development for local school districts. Here are some photos from this week's Collagraph workshop led by printmaker Adrienne Lichliter for Keller ISD elementary art teachers, and from November's Visual Journaling workshop with Professor Brian Scott Campbell and Artful Thinking workshop with Carolyn Armbruster for Northwest ISD art teachers.

Local middle school students sketched and embroidered their own unique designs with us this past week. This activity is a part of our Wandering Wardrobe project which brings historical garments (like this 1780's court coat!) from the Texas Fashion Collection to K-12 students. Stay tuned!
