Parking permits are required at all times – even after business hours, on weekends, during the summer and when the university is open even if school is not in session during winter break or spring break.

We appreciate everyone paying their fair share for parking. This helps us manage our costs and provide ample parking for those who have permits.

Permit types & visitor parking

A full list of parking permits can be found by clicking here. Information on the most common permits for our UNT community are listed in a graph below. Permits are available online through the UNT Parking Portal. Permits are pro-rated throughout the year. They are removeable so that you can use them on all vehicles you register on our permit site; however they are not transferable to another individual. Our campus map shows the areas where permitted vehicles may park.

Visitors and UNT community members can purchase a day use permit for Eagle parking lots or use the ParkMobile app to find a pay-by-the-hour parking lot.
