STUDENTS: ONLINE SUMMER SESSIONS; REGISTER FOR FALL, TOO

 

Registration for Summer 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 is open for all students. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all Summer 2020 sessions will be conducted in a virtual learning format:

 

ONLINE SUMMER SESSIONS

3-week session – May 18 to June 6

8-week session – May 18 to July 11

5-week session – June 8 to July 11

10-week session – June 8 to Aug. 14

5-week session II – July 13 to Aug. 15

 
 

 

We are making the registration process easier with the introduction of multi-semester registration. This allows you to register for all semesters between Summer 2020 and Summer 2021. For full details about registration, click here.

 

STUDENTS: ADVISORS ARE AVAILABLE VIA PHONE AND ONLINE

 

Although we are operating remotely, our advisors are available for appointments by phone or virtually from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. To schedule appointments with your assigned advisor, visit either the Google Play Store or App Store on your mobile device to download Navigate Student. This app will allow you to remotely schedule advising appointments. Appointment scheduling is also available via myUNTD by following these instructions. You may also call: 972-338-1645 or 972-780-3645. Staff is unable to respond directly via phone, but is continually monitoring voicemail. Please leave a message with your callback information and a staff member will return your call to schedule your appointment. Finally, you may also email advising at advising@untdallas.edu. You will receive a reply within 24 hours about your request.

 

 

STUDENTS: RENT OR BUY BOOKS FOR SUMMER 2020 SESSIONS

 

We’re making it easy to rent or buy your textbooks online for Summer 2020 sessions. Simply go to the UNT Dallas bookstore website; under “Find My Course Materials,” select the term “Summer 2020” and then click on “Find Courses.” To place an order, you’ll need the following class information:

  • Department code
  • Course number
  • Section number
  • What if my physical address changes?: See Student FAQ

STUDENTS: SPRING 2020 BOOK RENTAL EXTENSION THROUGH JUNE 4

 

Due to our campus closure, the UNT Dallas bookstore has extended the non-return charge window to June 4. There are two ways to return your rental:

 

  • Sign into your UNT Dallas account and print the free return shipping label to mail back to the bookstore. On the Rentals page, click “Return all Rentals by Mail.” Ship to the bookstore using the Free return Shipping Label and Packing Slip. Write your return address on the shipping label. Shipping instructions are included on the packing slip. To avoid late fees, your shipment must be submitted to a FedEx Ground location. 
  • You may return rental books to the UNT Dallas Police Department on the first floor of Founders Hall. To do so, you must complete a Spring 2020 Rental Return (We can provide this document for you)

 

 

STUDENTS: SUMMER FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION INFORMATION

 

We are receiving your summer financial aid applications. If you have not submitted ‘yes,’ please let us know if you plan to attend this summer so that your financial aid will not be delayed. Also, please apply for 2020-21 financial aid with FAFSA or TASFA, or complete the process by submitting anything that you are missing. Check the UNT Dallas student portal to identify any items you are missing. For more information or questions, contact FinancialAid@untdallas.edu or StudentSolutions@untdallas.edu

Pay your bill online

 

Online payments for tuition and fees may be made 24 hours a day using a credit/debit card or E-check. To make an online payment, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to myUNTD or myLaw and click Student Account
  2. Select Make a Payment > Make a Payment by Credit Card or E-check > Pay Bill > Make Payment.
  3. Enter the dollar amount without any commas or dollar signs.
  4. Select a payment method, click on Continue, then fill out the information to process your payment.
  5. Wait for your confirmation number to confirm the transaction.

Note: You can avoid the “transaction fee” by selecting “E-Check” as your payment method. You will be asked to provide your bank account number and routing number to process the payment

 

Accessing UNT Dallas email address:

 

Follow these steps and you should be able to log in:

  1. Go to ams.unt.edu
  2. Login using “EUID” and “Password”
  3. Locate & write down your “Student E-mail” address
  4. Once you have done this, you can visit (www.outlook.com)
  5. Insert your recently acquired UNT Dallas email address (you should be redirected to a login portal where you are asked to provide your password)
  6. Enter your UNT Dallas password (this will be the same password that you use with your EUID)
  7. You should have full access to your email here J

 

Transcript request: We have an electronic solution!

Greenlight Transcript Service

 

UNT Dallas has partnered with GreenLight specifically to give our students ownership of their records and to give them fast, free access to their transcripts. Whether you need to send an official transcript electronically or print an unofficial copy for your own records, you’ll be able to request and access your UNT Dallas transcript from your computer, smart phone or tablet.

 

Think about this: It’s late, and you’re online applying for a new job, or for a scholarship or to graduate school. You’re ready to hit the submit button, except you lack one thing: your official UNT Dallas transcript. With GreenLight, you never have to miss a deadline or risk losing out on that important scholarship or new job because you couldn’t get quick-and-easy access to your official transcript.

STUDENTS: APPLY FOR COVID-19 FEDERAL EMERGENCY FINANCIAL GRANTS

 

If you need financial assistance because of the COVID-19 crisis, please apply for the Federal Emergency Financial Grants to Students by using this eApplication: click here. Applicants will be reviewed on first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified of your application status via your student email. Eligibility requirements to receive federal funds:

  • Must have been enrolled as of March 13, 2020
  • Must not have been enrolled exclusively in online classes or programs prior to March 13, 2020
  • You must be Title IV eligible (or could be Title IV eligible), utilizing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

How do I select a refund method?

 

  1. Log in to myUNTD or myLAW (my.dallas.unt.edu)
  2. Click on the Student Account tile.
  3. Click on the “Refunds” link on the left side of the screen.
  4. Click on “Manage UNT Refund Choice”.

 

Refund methods:

  1. Direct Deposit to your bank account (2-3 business days from the date UNT processes the refund)
  2. Deposit to a reloadable debit card provided by the student (2-3 business days from the date UNT processes the refund)

 

This will determine the method selected for receiving any refunds processed here at UNT Dallas. Upon being approved, this will also be the refund method for receiving your COVID-19 grant.

 

2020 SPRING GRADUATES: THIS IS FOR YOU!

While we are excited to celebrate our Spring Class of 2020 at a future commencement ceremony, it is time to honor this resilient group of graduates now. Don’t miss our Graduate Recognition livestream event at noon on Thursday, May 28.

Each of our more than 500 graduates will hear their name read as they take their rightful place as Trailblazer alumni. A link to the livestream will be made available on our new Spring 2020 Graduate Recognition web page, where you can also find a university message to our graduates, each graduate’s name in our digital program and photos and student testimonials.
