Faculty/Staff Declining Balance $100

What you get: Declining Balance works like cash in any Retail Restaurant, Dining Hall or Discovery Park.
Where: Everywhere! All UNT Dining Halls and Retail Restaurants.
When: Year-round. Rolls over semester-to-semester.
Why we love it: Great budgeting tool and a convenient, cashless payment method 100% dedicated to food. Declining Balance functions like a debit card—each time you make a purchase, the cost is deducted from the balance on your card. Declining balance is a dollar-for-dollar exchange, so if you purchase $100 in Declining Balance, you will have $100 in Declining Balance loaded onto your UNT ID card.
Good to know: When asked for your payment method, tell the cashier you’re using Declining Balance. You’ll pay our Standard Door Rate for Dining Hall meals, or you can pair with another Faculty/Staff Meal Plan to save big!

Dining Hall swipes may be used at any of our Dining Halls (Bruceteria, Champs, Eagle Landing, Kerr Dining Hall, Kitchen West and Mean Greens Café) as well as at Discovery Perks Grill.*

How to purchase
Pay by credit, debit, eCheck or Payroll Deduction (coming soon).
All Faculty/Staff Plans must be purchased online. If you have difficulty accessing Faculty/Staff Plans in eDining, please contact us at 940-565-2462 or Dining@unt.edu so that we can assist you. We cannot take purchases by phone or in our office.

Eligibility
Effective July 1, 2020, Faculty/Staff or Retirees of UNT and the UNT System may purchase a Faculty/Staff Meal Plan.
Visiting scholars affiliated with a UNT department and other university partners may also be eligible to purchase Faculty/Staff Plans.
Current students have access to a variety of Student Meal Plans.
All Other Guests may pay our Standard Door Rate.

Risk-free & refundable
All Faculty/Staff Meal Plans are refundable upon request within 365 days of the last use. Simply fill out our Refund Request form, and please allow 5-10 business days for processing.
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Lunches
On special days each month during the fall and spring semesters, UNT Faculty and Staff can enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat lunch in any of our Dining Halls for only $5 (normally $8.20) plus tax.

Departmental Cards
Our Departmental Food Card is a no-hassle method for UNT departments to bill food purchases from university dining locations to an Internal Department Order (IDO). Learn more.
