Community Engagement Recognition

The Community Engagement Recognition exists to recognize Honors College campus and community engagement outside of the traditional academic setting. The Community Engagement Recognition must be earned in conjunction with an Honors College Award.  Please note that the Community Engagement Recognition requirements are different based on when students were admitted to the Honors College. Community Engagement Recognition (Effective Fall 2020)

Requirements effective Fall 2020: Attend 3 HC events, 2 HC service opportunities, 1 campus event per semester.

* The community service requirement is waived for the fall 2020 semester.

Students who join the Honors College beginning in the Fall 2020 semester can earn the Community Engagement Recognition by attending 3 Honors College events, 2 Honors College Community Service opportunities, and 1 campus event. All events will be advertised via the Honors College Canvas Page. Community Engagement Recognition (Prior to Fall 2020)

Students who track 100 hours of engagement activities are eligible to receive this recognition.

Students who joined the Honors College before the Fall of 2020 can earn the Community Engagement Recognition by tracking 100 hours of engagement events. More information about what is eligible for tracking can be found in this FAQs document.
