Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with emergency procedures and any equipment that is issued to you
• Meet regularly with other Safety Coordinators and set assigned areas of responsibility in your building
• Ensure that all occupants of the building have, depending on the situation, exited the building or gathered at the designated shelter area during drills and actual emergencies
• Assist individuals with disabilities as necessary during drills and actual emergencies
