Spring 2021 Courses Offered Online
The university leadership has worked with six campus committees to plan for a safe and effective semester. We’ve taken extraordinary care to make decisions that prioritize the health of our students, faculty and staff. Several factors guided our decisions including a surge in COVID-19 cases in the Dallas area, an increase in the number of young people who are testing positive for the virus and the science behind how the virus is spread. In order to maintain university operations, 25-30% of our employees will return to campus. The university has adopted strict safety protocols and social distancing guidelines to ensure that our university family works together to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Before returning to campus this training must be completed by all employees.

CARES Act Reporting Requirements
- UNTD signed and submitted a Certification and Agreement to the Department of Education and intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- UNTD received $1,518,405.00 from the Department of Education pursuant to the Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
- UNTD has distributed a total of $626,871.37 to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 9/30/20.
- UNTD has an estimated total of 3,070 students eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
- A total of 881 students have received Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act as of 9/30/20.
- An application was established to capture basic information, including how the student was financially impacted by the closure of the campus due to COVID-19. Each application was reviewed to ensure eligibility according to the Department of Education guidelines, to confirm the student expressed need, and to evaluate the amount requested. Eligible students were awarded in the order in which their application was received. UNTD is ensuring that the application, awarding, and processing allows as many students as possible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants.
- All enrolled students were notified of the availability of grants and the application by an email (click here) to the full student body that also included other relevant COVID-19 information. Additional information was communicated through social media, website posts, and regular campus news emails. The secure application for the Emergency Financial Aid Grants (https://www.untdallas.edu/fall-2020-course-information) was posted on our institutional COVID-19 resource page for the fall 2020 term.
