Jeff Crossman will run for Parma Ward 9 City Council seat against Roy Jech

A West Ridgewood Drive man has already filed petitions to run for the vacant Ward 9 City Council seat. Jeffrey A. Crossman, a member of the Parma Planning Commission, said he will also seek temporary appointment to that council position, which he would hold until Ward 9 voters choose their next council representative in November.  Full story »

Roy Jech makes decision to run again for Parma City Council

Ward 9 Councilman Roy Jech has abruptly retired from City Council. His last official day was Dec. 31. However, Jech said he will try to regain his council seat — which he had held since January 1994 — by running in the May 7 Democratic primary election.  Full story »

Parma man who shot deer with crossbow faces charges in Parma Municipal Court

A Pleasant Valley Road man, 62, was arrested Dec. 27 after he allegedly used a crossbow to shoot and kill a deer in his backyard. The man was later charged in Parma Municipal Court with illegal hunting, discharge of firearms, possession of loaded weapons, criminal trespassing and possession of criminal tools.  Full story »
