Faculty Success

Realizing that COVID-19 has had differing impacts on faculty in the completion of professional accomplishments towards tenure and promotion, the University of North Texas will offer faculty the opportunity to opt-in for an automatic one-year extension of the tenure clock.

When cities first began dipping their toes into the largely untested waters of autonomous vehicles, Abdulrahman Habib ('13 M.S., '19 Ph.D.) was ready for the ride.The UNT at Frisco-based clinical assistant professor in the Interdisciplinary Program of Analytics and Computational Science (IPACS) -- a joint venture among UNT's College of Science, the Toulouse Graduate School, and the New College in Frisco -- was instead intrigued by collecting data on how residents would react to the potential deployment of the futuristic fleet.

The University of North Texas has transformed the dining hall at West Hall into one of the nation’s first allergen-free dining experiences on a college campus. Kitchen West is the second all-you-care-to-eat collegiate dining hall in the nation and first in Texas to be completely free of the “Big 8” food allergens, which are milk, eggs, fish, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, soy and shellfish.
